SIC recovers vehicles owned by former public managers
Dated on May 4th, this legal diploma regulates the acquisition, management and disposal of the State's motor vehicle fleet, with the enshrinement, in article 27, of the obligation of public officials and managers to return, after leaving office, the vehicles which had been given to them for the fulfillment of their missions.
According to the director of the Office of Institutional Communication and Press of the local delegation of the Ministry of Interior, Martinho Kavita Satito, who presented, this Wednesday, the report on the criminal situation in the province, in the last 21 days, it is about Mitsubish and Toyota brand vehicles, the latter in models such as Prado, Fortuner, Hilux and Land Cruiser.
There are also Ford cars, Ranger model, in addition to Volvo, taken from the possession of former users because they resisted their return, and they were returned to the Heritage Department of the Government of the Province of Huambo.
On the other hand, the chief superintendent of the National Police informed that in possession of the criminals, three vehicles were recovered stolen in various locations in the province, as well as a tractor, four firearms, five motorbikes, 25 mobile casino boxes, three telephones and a 12 kg butane gas cylinder.
Martinho Kavita Satito said that, in the last 21 days, a total of 230 different crimes were registered, with an increase of 37 cases compared to the same previous period, 152 of which were clarified, which resulted in the arrest of 141 citizens, allegedly involved in the practice of criminal offenses.
The official explained that, among the crimes, there are voluntary homicides, corporal offenses, qualified and simple robberies, thefts and association of criminals, in addition to economic infractions, with violation of the commercial chain, sale of products with an expired expiration date and lack of invoice for the purchase of the products by the merchants.
Martinho Kavita Satito also said that as a result of police operations, a group of criminals was dismantled, consisting of three citizens who were dedicated to the practice of crimes of qualified robbery, using firearms in the municipality of Ecunha and in the neighborhoods of Cachindombe, Calundo and Chivela, outskirts of the city of Huambo.
In the field of road accidents, the director of the Institutional Communication and Press Office reported that, during this period, there were 40 road accidents, with seven deaths and 32 serious and light injuries, caused by speeding, not giving priority to passing, irregular overtaking and lack of precaution on the part of drivers.
They were characterized as being run over, crashing, crashing between cars and, in some cases, with motorcycles.
