The Director General of SIC, Commissioner-in-Chief, Ant\u00f3nio Paulo Bendje met, this Friday afternoon, May 6th, in the meeting room of the SIC headquarters in Cacuaco, with the medical examiners who work in the country's capital and some from other Provincials who are in Luanda, whose objective was to get to know each professional personally and find out about the working conditions of these professionals in the different areas of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the meeting, the person in charge of SIC thanked everyone for their presence and made his work, personal and other concerns related to medical-legal activity heard one by one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"I convened this meeting in order to personally meet each coroner, including the foreigners who work with us, and I want to hear from you all kinds of concerns\" said the Chief Commissioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of the meeting, the proposing medical examiner and National Director of Legal Medicine of the SIC, Chief Superintendent of Criminal Investigation, Aur\u00e9lio Ngueve thanked the availability of number one of the SIC, and on behalf of all medical examiners in the country, he presented various concerns in the area and highlighted the importance of medico-legal reports, which on many occasions form the preamble to judgments. In general, coroners defend the creation of an Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences in Angola, as a way of mitigating and solving many of the major concerns of this medical activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his watchful eye, the Chief Commissioner, Ant\u00f3nio Paulo Bendje, satisfactorily welcomed the questions presented and expressed his great concern, above all, in the activity of medical examiners carried out in the morgues of the various hospitals in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201d We will refer these concerns to the Minint Superstructure, so that they can help us to reverse the current situation, coroners need better conditions, to produce better results, not only in determining the causes of death, but also other incidences of criminal action, for the exemplary criminal accountability of its authors, that is, the production of evidence for the realization of fair justice. \u201d assured Ant\u00f3nio Paulo Bendje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, the Director referred that it is also important, as the doctors mentioned, the continuation of the training of new medical examiners to guarantee the future and safeguard the quality of this profession of great importance in criminal investigation and in the national justice system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The professionals left the meeting satisfied and guarantee to continue to honorably carry out this activity that imposes unique sacrifices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
